Wyre Dock Development Ltd is the development company drawing up plans for the redevelopment of the harbour area. The aim is to transform this historic waterfront location into a vibrant area where people will soon be able to live, work, shop and enjoy leisure activities. This redevelopment project is known as Fleetwood Quays.
Gardens of China
The plan includes the construction of a hotel, apartments, parking facilities, restaurants, museums and a botanical garden. EdenParks was approached to design and build this botanical structure called Gardens of China and the integrated artisan market hall.
The proposal in the plan is to build a large glass structure containing several botanical gardens. These will be connected by an elevated walkway. The reason for including a botanical garden in this extensive plan is because the English have a keen interest in nature and plants.
