Technically advanced project at Bomencentrum Nederland
Our unique project at Bomencentrum Nederland in Baarn was recently opened. Named Jardin d’Hiverre, this beautifully designed meeting centre is located on the waterfront in the middle of a huge park covering more than 25 hectares.
Groundbreaking project
Special project at Bomencentrum Nederland
The roof is a technical masterpiece, particularly due to the unique shape of the profiles. Austrian pine trusses were used for the supporting structure. Steel-coated profiles were then laid on top. The unique shape of the roof and the materials used showcase EdenParks' expertise in this forward-thinking project.
Pavilion at a tree nursery
The project was designed by MIII Architects and can accommodate larger groups of up to 475 people. It is located on the waterfront, opposite Het Groene Paviljoen, which can accommodate groups of 8-120 people. In February 2017, Jardin d'Hiverre was opened by Hans Blokzijl, owner of Bomencentrum Nederland.

Sustainable and biophilic glass construction
Nature plays an important role in the sustainable and biophilic glass construction with a total surface area of 1,120 m² and a height of 9 metres. A row of amber trees on the south side of the complex acts as a sunscreen in summer, while in winter the bare trees allow the sun to heat the building.
In the basement, a light and cool ground floor, the adjacent lake provides natural cooling.
Beautiful combination of materials
The highest point was reached at the beginning of September. Using a 100-tonne crane, the ridge piece with 20 ventilation windows was placed on the roof structure at a height of 10 metres. Next, 80,000 kg of green-tinted glass was placed on the steel roof structure. The side walls were fitted with transparent glass. The combination of all the materials gives the project a beautiful warm appearance.
Multifunctional spaces
The basement houses conference rooms, the ground floor can be divided into multifunctional spaces, and the turrets on the first floor contain the kitchen, sanitary facilities and an office.
