Back in 2002, we covered almost the entire roof of a hall measuring almost 30,000 m² with semi-transparent solar panels (PV modules). With over 19,000 panels, the installed photovoltaic generation capacity was 2.3 MWp, making it the largest solar roof in the world at the time.
World Horticultural Exhibition (AIPH)
The Floriade 2002 took place from 6 April to 20 October 2002 in the Haarlemmermeer. In addition to Floriade, Floriade 2002 was also the 16th World Horticultural Exhibition (AIPH). Under the sunroof is an exhibition space, which is still actively used under the name EXPO Greater Amsterdam.
