Agrotopia wins BTTV 2023 in the Aesthetic Galvanisation category
The rooftop greenhouse Agrotopia has once again been recognised with a prestigious award. This time it has won the Belgian Trophy for Hot Dip Galvanisation in the Aesthetic Galvanisation category. Together with the designteam Van Bergen Kolpa and Meta Architects, we are very proud of this project!
This Green Hub of Inagro has different climate zones, sustainable and economic use of space and energy and is the example for urban food production. The 9,500 m² building, realized on the roof of the REO veiling, comprises high-tech research facilities for the cultivation of fruit and leafy vegetables, surrounded by an educational routing for a wider audience. Since its opening, Agrotopia has won several prestigious design awards, like the WAF and the Belgian Construction Award.
The BTTV award was presented at the 14th edition of the biennial Benelux Thermal Galvanisation Trophy. With this trophy, the ZekerZink organisation is drawing more attention to Hot-dip galvanising and the many advantages it offers designers and clients.
